Software Quality Control Engineer (Senior/Leader)

About The Role

SYNOVA Co., Ltd is looking for a Software Quality Control Engineer to join our growing team based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Software Quality Control Engineer are individuals who monitor every phase of the software development process to ensure design quality, making sure that the software adheres to standards set by the development company.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Coach and lead team to reach high level of testing on projects
  • Train team on methodologies, tools and best practices
  • Develop test plans and detailed test cases/test procedures from business and technical requirements;
  • Hands-on testing (both automation and manual);
  • Reports bugs;
  • Maintains defect reports and updates reports following regression testing;
  • Making recommendations for improving product quality and testing effectiveness;
  • Work closely with BA and developers to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases, and deliver high quality products;
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Computer Science or closely related field
Experiences
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software QC with demonstrated experience in web and
    mobile applications
  • Good understanding of Quality Control principles and how they contribute to Software Development and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes;
  • Familiar with technologies like Java, Selenium, SQL
  • Good experience in automation testing
  • Basic experience or knowledge in the following: Windows, Linux and Mac OS
  • Basic experience or knowledge in mobile OS: Android, iOS and Windows mobile
  • Experience executing test cases and analyzing results
  • Capacity to multi-task several testing activities concurrently
Skills
  • Good judgment and objectivity in approaching problems
  • Able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, take direction and collaborate well with others
  • Highly responsible, careful, hardworking, initiative and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working closely with a small team of software developers
  • Good English skill, capable of direct communication in English
  • French-speaking is big plus
